Spread Some Love!
As a girl who spent majority of her college days on #teamsingle, I had convinced myself that Valentine's Day was a dumb holiday created by the greeting card companies to make money and make single feel people feel bad about themselves. Even on the rare chance that I wasn't single, I had the same popular opinion that "you shouldn't need a special day to show someone how much you love them." While to a degree I think all that is partially true, I've grown to find something particularly special about Valentine's Day.
If 2020 taught us anything, it's to never take any moment, or anyone for granted. I think theres something pretty cool about a day that is centered around shamelessly telling the people you care about how much you love them. I don't think it has to be centered around a significant other, but Valentine's Day is a great way to tell you friends, families, coworkers, and heck even yourself that you love and appreciate them! Yes we should be doing this on a regular basis, but let's be honest - most of us are not.
So I've rounded up all things Valentine's Day that you can do/share/buy for your loved ones (at affordable prices of course, because it's not about the money - it's about the gesture).
So first up, 5 things you can do with anyone you love on Valentine's Day 2021 that cost little to nothing!

Brunch! You have to eat breakfast anyways right? Sit down with your love or your gal pals and make a fun Valentine's themed brunch! Use this adorable $10 heart waffle maker, $10 set of coffee mugs, and some cute themed plates! $25 and you've got a fun breakfast and a little gift!
2. Game night! Head to pick out a new game (or play one you already have to save a little $), grab some popcorn in a cute heart bowl like this $3 target one, maybe some cute matching jammies, and have fun laughing (and being competitive if your me) all night long!
3. Dog Park + ice cream! You can't forget to include your fur baby in all the love! Spend quality time with your besties or significant other by showing your pup some love! Grab this adorable bandana and head to a local ice cream shop after that provides pup cups!
4. Self care night! Even though they like to deny it, guys love it when girls let them in on their self care routines. So whether you do this with your besties, your boyfriend, or just by yourself - you won't regret it. Grab this affordable facial steamer from Marshalls, some fun face masks, light a candle, and VOILA! You're practically at the spa.
5. Dinner, picnic style! Spread out a blanket in the living room, throw on your comfies, light a candle, and enjoy your favorite takeout (or even cook together if you have the time). No phones. No TV. Just enjoy each other's company!
No matter what you do, take Valentine's Day to show the people you love how much you appreciate them. From a handwritten note to a virtual hug, let's fill this crazy world with more love!
See below for a few of my favorite Valentine's Day comfy looks (let's be honest, we all really just want to be cozy). Prices ranging from $10-$45!
If a giant heart sweater isn't really your vibe, grab something more subtle like heart hoops or a sweet hat. Don't forget to add some love to your decor!
Happy Valentine's Day y'all! Sending love to each & every one of you!
